Hello and hi. Most Brits and a certain American blogger will find themselves glued to the telly on Saturday and Sunday nights, as we watch, discuss, vote and speak in excited tones as we watch Strictly Come Dancing. I do believe there is an American version for an American audience, but the name of the show is slightly different but the concept and format is the same.  Strictly Come Dancing (informally knows as ‘Strictly‘) is a British TV reality show which features contestants and celebs and others…like MP’s, WAGS, actors, et al.

Essentially, Strictly is a dance competition as mentioned, where you have professional dance partners paired up with their celeb partners as they learn, dance and perform ballroom and Latin dances to perfect perfection. Each couple is scored out of 10 by the panel of 4 judges-all of whom  have significant dance experience. And that is the show. Easy. Simple. Don’t have to be a brain surgeon-just sit back and enjoy.  The winner gets the ultimate prize-they get to get to bring home the glitter ball trophy and they receive the adoration of the British public.

This year on Strictly, the talent is immense-which is pretty surprising, considering that these celebs had little or no experience/dance training prior to joining the show. In brief, Strictly is good, clean family TV viewing. This year, our Danny Mac is the favourite to win the show and and he is erm…easy on the eyes.  Here he is pictured below with his professional dance partner, Oti. Ladies….you might need to sit down and fan yourself when viewing this video. Seriously…Danny Mac makes Poldark look like the Elephant Man. For real. Enough talk. Watch the video. Please and thanks.

Team Danny Mac and Oti. That is all.

Cheers.

The American version is Dancing with the Stars. And as you pointed out, the celebs, male and female, are usually very attractive ones to boot. On the American version part of the fun is that some of the celebs barely qualify as celebrities anymore as their heyday may have been a decade or two ago.

Same here. We have C list celebs. This year we had US singer Anastacia. She was good but there was controversy. Good grief it is a tv show…not the UK Supreme Court. Anyway- apart from that its good family viewing.

I have no idea who Anastacia is. She must be on the D list

Lol. I bet you know her. Big in the late 80’s early 90’s- she always wore sunglasses. ‘I’m outta love’ ring any bells? Please say yes!
