Hello and hi. Am back from my vacation filled holiday and had a great time. A lot happened while I was away. Some good, some bad and some just plain weird. Just know that I have pretty much an opinon about all of it. So, lets do this.
So, Andy Murray is now the King of Queens as of today. Truth be told, I am not a huge fan of Andy Murray, he seems miserable most of the time, surly even. Sure, he is a great tennis player, even won Wimbledon once, but boy oh boy, he can be ever so ratty (bad-tempered). Apart from that, he is a decent tennis player. So earlier today, Andy Murray beat Milos Raonic to win a record FIFTH Queen’s title. This makes him the King of Queens.
Queen’s Club Championship
The QCC is an annual tournament for male tennis players-held on grass courts at the Queen’s Club in West Kensington, London. Queen’s is one of the most prestigious grass court tournaments, as well as one of the oldest tennis tournaments in the world. In addition, Queen’s serves as a warm-up for Wimbledon. Andy Murray won five titles there between 2009 and 2016. Andy Roddick (American former number 1) has called the courts at the Queen’s Club “arguably the best in the world.”
The QCC is held every year in June and commences one week after the clay court French Open and concludes one week before the start of the grass court Wimbledon Championships. While QCC is for men the equivalent warm-up for Wimbledon for women is the Eastbourne International.
Andy Murray has become the first man to win the Queen’s Club title FIVE times. Raonic led by a set and 3-0 before Murray became the FIRST player this week to break the Canadian’s serve-doing so twice in succession. Wow. Murray, the defending champion went on to win 6-7 (5-7) 6-4 6-3.

Lovely looking lass! Andy is just “ok”
Ok, he looks a bit better here…
Murray has done well all week at Queens and added “Coming out here to try and win for the fifth time I was really motivated.” He was pretty great today. I would like to add here that Murray is playing a lot better since he married his long time girlfriend, followed by becoming a dad. Post marriage and baby, he is nicer and smiles a lot more and is way less surly. My goodness, maybe he should have gotten married and procreated sooner?! Just my opinion. Don’t judge. So, a break now for a week then Wimbledon will commence. All eyes will be on Andy Murray. Come on Andy!
