Hello and hi. The UK has adopted curry as its national dish. Yes, indeed. This is not surprising with more than 9K Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi reastaurants as well as the creation of British-Asian dishes such as chicken tikka masala and balti. Everyone loves curry, including me. Even seaguls in this country love curry. You see the curry is SO good here in the UK that both humans and wildlife indulge in it.
The above seagull recently fell into a container of chicken tikka masala while trying to scavenge a piece of meat from a food factory bin. He was rescued by workers at the undisclosed site in south east Wales and was then picked up by a volunteer (who had brought along rice for obvious reasons) for Vale Wildlife Hospital near Tewkesbury. Staff at the centre managed to return him to his original colour but have not been able to wash away the smell. Seriously, when I cook curry, the smell lingers in my kitchen for days-but this is not necessarily a bad thing.
Lucy Kells, a vetineary nurse at the hospital said,”He really surprised everyone here – we had never seen anything like it before.” Followed by, “The thing that shocked us the most was the smell. He smelled amazing, he really smelled good.” Just so funny. What a crazy bird-am wondering if was an angry bird(s)-get it? Like the game. So funny.
