Greetings. If you thought that US Presidential race was a bit long winded (and it is) then you will know how Brits feel about the upcoming Referendum in June regarding Brexit. Brexit is the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union, often shortened to ‘Brexit’. It is a combination of the words ‘Britain’ and ‘exit.’
Oh man, that is all anyone is talking about, especially the politicians. It is an important issue but come. on. And now, Barack Obama has gotten involved. Uh oh. Of course he is brilliant and engaging and kind and strong and fair but…some people are not too happy that he has spoken about this while here in the UK. They are none too pleased. Oh you don’t know about Brexit? Well, I have blogged about it before-you should check it out. Alternatively, if you come to the UK, I guarantee you-you will know ALL about Brexit within 20 minutes. They will be the longest 20 minutes of your life. And you know, like sleep, you can’t get it back. For real. My opinion about Brexit? Of course I have one. But I can’t vote in the upcoming Referendum, so I am keeping my little opinion to myself. Yes. Yes, I am.
So, Barack Obama is in the UK for the next 3 days-probably his last visit as President. He probably has loads of meet and greets. I hope he has time for some fish and chips as well as jellied eels. Yum! Anyway, In today’s Telegraph, he penned some of his thoughts about Brexit. I have included the link for you. I think you should read it. Knowledge is power, people. That is all.
