MP’s v Donald Trump

Yeah. Serious news. Massive relief. Yesterday, our MP’s debated banning Donald Trump from the UK. Yikes. Donald Trump was quite naughty a few weeks back as he proposed temporarily banning Muslims from entering the US until the US could figure out what the heck was going on. Well, when crazy talks-we listen. And when we heard his crazy rantings on THIS side of the pond, we were not too pleased. What followed was a lot of discussion and 2 online petitions signed by thousands-570K to be exact.

But can the UK actually BAN him? I do not know all of the legal aspects of it -I mean, if he had been jailed or convicted of a crime he would definitely be banned by the Home Office. Or if someone has submitted false documents upon entering the UK-that is an automatic ban. Forget about collecting $200. Just go back to where you came from, mate.   So, it will be interesting to see if Trump will indeed be banned. I have to agree with David Cameron our Prime Minister, when he branded Mr Trump’s comments “divisive, stupid and wrong” but rejected calls for Mr Trump to be barred from visiting the UK. Which is interesting. But I guess when you are a politician there is a lot of sitting on the fence. Mind those splinters David.

Yesterday, the ban on Trump was debated in Parliament. If you are interested in finding out more, check out the links below.

Ha! Many of us here wish we could ban him from the States.

      Bwahaha! Anything is possible!

Of course if we kick him out, who would want to let him in to their country?

very good point! Am guessing he owns some island in the Caribbean-maybe he can go there…

I loathe Trump and everything he espouses. I wish there was less focus on him and that he got less air time but he knows how to play the media. I think his hate-filled ranting, appalling and awful as it is, probably fails to meet the legal test that could lead to him being barred from entry to the UK, however. I understand the decision of Parliament, however much I would quite like to just ban Trump from everywhere on a person level. What I do hope is that the very fact that the UK parliament took such a chunk of time to even debate this issue gives potential Trump voters here in the US pause about who they might select to represent the nation on the international stage because, surely, just surely, they would want someone who other national leaders could respect. I hope.

Yes, I totally agree with everything you said. This morning I heard Sarah Palin ranting and raving like a crazy person on Radio 4. Dream ticket. Not.

The Sarah Palin endorsement was bizarre. She wasn’t even using words correctly. It was deranged.

It really was. Sorry but she sounded ‘high’. And apparently Trump was smiling broadly as he stood next to her. Smiling through the pain, more like it. That woman is a liability-what was John McCain thinking? Sheesh.

It struck me as a bizarre endorsement anyway, even politically. I thought she might rubber stamp Cruz. So much crazy to choose from.

Indeed. Welcome to crazy town AKA the Republican frontrunners. He and his campaign are crazy enough to actually make it all the way to the White House. I mean, at this point…I would vote for Kanye West.

        Ha ha ha!
