Sarah, Duchess of York

Sarah Ferguson is also known as Sarah, Duchess of York.  She was married to Prince Andrew (who has in recent times been a tad naughty).  Sarah once described herself as ‘country gentry with a bit of old money.’ That is a diplomatic way of saying, I AM RICH. LAND RICH AND MONEY RICH.  She actually is descended from both the Stuart and Tudor houses. On her Dad’s side, she is a descendant of King Charles II via 2 of his illegitimate sons.  In short, she has aristocratic ancestry.

Born on 15 October 1959 she was the former wife of Prince Andrew, Duke of York.  If she remarries she will loose her Duchess of York Title.  Now you know why she never remarried. You are welcome.  Sarah or ‘Fergie’ for short is not a fan of The Black Eyed Peas, despite stealing the lead singer’s name.  These Royals are something else.  She finished her education at 18 at Queen’s Secretarial College and went on to work for a public relations firm in London.  It is not uncommon for Royals not to go to University.  Harry never did.

Sarah married Andy on 17 March 1986.  Well, first the Queen’s permission was needed.  This is required by British Law, The Royal Marriage Act 1772 for children of monarchs.  Thankfully this does not apply to the rest of us mere mortals.  But by 1991 her marriage was in trouble.  When her husband was away doing his Royal Navy duties, she was often seen in the company of other men.  Rich Men.  Am not sure why she thought this was a good idea. In 1992 pictures of her sunbathing topless with her American financial manager was splashed all over the tabloids.  Sadly, Sarah and Andy divorced in 1996 after 4 years of being separated.

In 2010, Sarah’s debt problems had reached epic proportions.  It was rumored that she might declare bankruptcy with debts of £5 million.  She somehow avoided this.  Presently, Sarah spends her time doing charity work, is a spokesperson, writer, film producer and tv personality.  She continues to live in the same house as her ex husband.  Just plain weird if you ask me-but Royals do things a little differently.

Cheers Y’all

I wonder if she and Princess Margaret might have made a good team!

I think they might have. I bet they secretly admired each other!
